Creating your

Portfolio of Evidence

Your Portfolio of Evidence

You will be expected to keep a detailed portfolio of evidence of the activities in which you have participate as you work through the year.  This portfolio will contribute to your overall level of success/attainment at the end of the year.

What should your portfolio include.

For each activity, your portfolio entry should include ...
  • A description of the activity,

  • A list of the resources you used.

  • A list of who you were working with.

  • A brief reflection of how 'well' the activity went.

  • A simple explanation of how the activity incorporates STEM.  (There is a section at the foot of most of the activity pages which should help with this).

The entry should also include photos and/or videos of the activity taking place.  You may choose, for example, to create a 'step by step' pictorial guide to the activity.

Why a portfolio ?

Your portfolio will contribute to an assessment of how you have performed over the year, and this is important, of course, however your portfolio will be yours to keep once the year has finished.  You may find yourself in a placement where you are tasked with developing an activity for children to take part in.  Your portfolio will be a good 'starting point', hopefully a 'toolbox' full of ideas which you can pull together to create fun, engaging and educational activities for the children.
